Tennessee native Margaret Perez earned her BFA in Illustration and Design from Memphis College of Art in 2017. There she discovered her love of Printmaking through both Illustration and Sculpture. Perez’s work explores nature illustration and the animal figure and its symbolism throughout fable, mythology, folklore, and the natural world. As an MFA graduate from the University of Mississippi, Perez continued exploring her use of line and her wild flora and fauna figures, as well as continuing to play with scale and color in her work.
