Dr. Bokyung Kim received her Ph.D. in art history from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007 with a dissertation titled Indefinite Boundaries: Reconsidering the Relationship between Borobudur and Loro Jonggrong in Central Java (Indonesia). Her current research involves several topics in the early interactions between Java (Indonesia) and the mainland of Southeast Asia.
She has previously taught many courses in Asian art at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University, Whitman College, the University of Memphis, Rhodes College, and Memphis College of Art.
