Ashley Smith was born and raised in Western Kansas where she received her B.F.A from Fort Hays State University. Pushing her materials past their boundaries to create large and small scale works, Smith exposes the world of mental health through non-objective forms. Smith hopes her work will help others who suffer from mental illness to come forward and know they are not alone.
