Art 373. Book Arts
This course’s intention is to introduce book structures, basic binding techniques, and artist’s books. It will focus on the craftsmanship and technical details of fine binding. Students explore the visual narrative sequence in a series of book assignments and cover a visual book’s basic history.
By the end of the semester, students will learn the following techniques and concepts:

- Italian Longstitch
- Portfolio

- Thinking in a sequence of pages
